BULLCRYL PLUS™ (Antibacterial Polyglactin Sutures)

Advanced Defense Against Surgical Site Infections (SSI), Building on the legacy of the standard Polyglactin range, BULLCRYL PLUS is engineered for high-risk surgical environments. It features the same high-tensile Polyglactin 910 core but is enhanced with a safe, effective antibacterial coating (Triclosan).

Technical Data & Benefits:

* Antibacterial Efficacy: The suture creates a “zone of inhibition” that prevents the colonization of common SSI-causing bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis, for the critical first 7-10 days of healing.
* Caprolactone Coating: Our unique coating technology ensures that the addition of the antibacterial agent does not compromise the smooth “slip” and knot-tying characteristics surgeons expect from the BULLCRYL line.
* Sizes & Applications: Available across all standard surgical sizes (5 to 8-0). It is specifically recommended for patients with compromised immune systems or surgeries involving implants where infection prevention is paramount.
* Benefits: By inhibiting bacterial biofilm formation on the suture strand, BULLCRYL PLUS significantly reduces the risk of post-operative complications and costly readmissions, providing peace of mind for both the clinical team and the patient.
